In Kazakhstan, a country in Central Asia located between China and Russia, everything is tough: the climate, the vast steppes dotted with oil wells, even the character of the inhabitants, descendants of the Mongols and Genghis Khan who have adapted to withstand all of nature’s challenges. Filmed at the backend of winter, this film takes us into the centre of a snowstorm. Thousands of travellers find themselves caught in an enormous traffic jam, the least fortunate of whom are stuck in the mud, victims of a sudden thaw. We meet farmers and camel breeders who rely on hostile land. The Aral Sea, now completely dried out due to the overexploitation of it’s water during the Soviet period, has given place to a dessert made up of sand, salt, and dust that’s toxic to the inhabitants. On this truly extreme journey we are accompanied by endearing people who never let their struggles crush their spirit or dignity.

Современные интеллектуальные технологии достигли определенного уровня зрелости и массово применяются для решения самых различных промышленных задач. Автоматизация процессов на основе искусственного интеллекта широко применяется в логистике, банковской сфере, системах безопасности и др. Стек семантических технологий, который традиционно разделялся на две области, лингвистическую семантику и семантику данных, сейчас становится сложной гибридной технологией, которая включает множество различных подходов, как на основе явной репрезентации знаний в виде онтологий и правил, так и методы машинного обучения и нейронные сети. В ходе семинара будут рассмотрены как совокупность этих подходов реализуется в технологии Графов знаний.

Early dolphin embryos like this one are revealing an astonishing fact, the dolphin, a mammal seemingly so perfectly adapted to life in the water may once have had ancestors who walked on the land.
After 24 days in the womb strange things start happening. Although the flippers begin to grow, at the base of the embryo, leg-like limb buds begin to appear. These tiny limbs will emerge, then retract and vanish completely over the next 2 weeks. Scientists believe this is evidence of the dolphin’s land ancestry. They’ve narrowed the dolphin’s ancestor down to a small dog-like creature called Pakicetus.
